Driving Directions to Pilgrim Park Print E-mail

Pilgrim Park is located in north cental Illinois, approximately two hours southwest of Chicago, one hour east of Moline, and one hour north of Peoria. We are just south of Interstate 80, and can be reached from either Highway #6 or Highway #29 (main entrance).

To reach the main entrance from Interstate 80:

Take the Ladd/Spring Valley exit (exit 70). Turn south onto Highway #89 (toward Spring Valley), and travel for approximately 3 miles. At the junction of #89 and #29, turn RIGHT, onto #29. Take #29 for 7 miles, approximately 2 miles past the second road into De Pue. At the brown “Church Camp” sign, turn right onto 1285N, and then right again onto 2650E. The entrance is 1 mile down this road, at the bottom of the hill.

To reach the main entrance (off Highway #29) from points south:

Pilgrim Park’s main entrance is located just off Highway #29, 2 miles west of De Pue and 2 miles east of Dureau Junction. Turn onto 1285N at the brown “Church Camp” sign. Travel approximately 150 yards, and turn right onto 2650E. The entrance is 1 mile down this road, at the bottom of the hill.

To reach the Highway #6 entrance:

Due to road closings and construction (starting June 1), we highly recommend that you enter the camp off Route 29 and NOT use the Highway #6 entrance until further notice.

***** WINTER TRAVEL ADVICE *****

WE HAVE FOUND THAT DURNING THE WINTER MONTHS IT IS BEST FOR OUR GUESTS TO ENTER THE CAMP OFF ROUTE 29. THE TOWNSHIP’S GRAVEL ROAD FROM HIGHWAY #6 IS OFTEN DANGEROUSLY ICY OR DRIFTED IN. PLEASE BE SURE TO CALL THE CAMP OFFICE IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF ROAD CONDITIONS.
